For years we have talked about it, and now we have another 1st for the Ashland Lions. A float in the 2003 Christmas Parade. Thanks to Lion Sarah Waby that set up the plans for the float and all members that helped decorate we had a great showing for the Lions of Ashland. Although we were not cash prize winners, we are winners for lionism. The christmas theme was "The Nutcracker". The float depicted a theme from the Nutcracker where the Prince takes Clara to the frozen Lake and the land of the dancing snowflakes. The kids on the float were dressed in costume from this theme.
