Stretched to the limit for help. the Ashland Lions club members accepted an invitation to hold our food booth at both the Chamber Ice Cream Social and The Neighborly Bar 4th of July party on the same day. Saturday July 6th was a busy day with the 4th of July weekend activities extended in Ashland. The ice cream social included helium balloons for the kids, music by some members of the high school band, and of course ice cream. 
The Neighborly bar held it's annual fourth of July celebration, with music by Badge, raffle drawings, sand volleyball, lawn jart contest, and plant of lions food.   With the temperature reaching the 90's, sales were not as high as expected, but all in all the event was reported by chairman Joe Schultz as successful.
