A 1956 International Pumper Truck purchased by the Ashland Lions with help from the Mellen Lions, has reportedly made it to Mexico. According to Lion Bud Hyland and Lioness Toby Hyland, the trip was slow, but it made it. With a top speed of 45 MPH and Toby following with flashers on most of the way, the truck was delivered this February. A minor mechanical problem delayed the trip somewhat, but the truck was repaired prior to going into Mexico. According to Lioness Toby the donation was a big hit and very welcome.
