  Diabetic Screening
Each spring the Ashland Lions Club sets up 4 stations at the local grocery store staffed with medical personnel to conduct screening for diabetes.  This year we referred five people to their family physicians for further evaluation and possible treatment.
  Glacoma Screening
Lions members worked with representatives from Prevent Blindness Wisconsin to provide Glaucoma Screenings for senior citizens attending Senior Expo at the Ashland High School. The owner of Ashland Eye Specialists, screened and counseled people attending the Expo.   Referrals were made for various reasons for the individuals to get further medical advice. This project was well received by event organizers and will probably become an annual event in August of each year.
