Nurse's Health Walk

The start of the procession...headed for the park

Honoring Our Nurses
Lions members offered to serve free Brats and Hot Dogs to honor nursing personnel as part of national nurse's week March 6-12th. The procession walked from Memorial Medical Center to Memorial Park on Tuesday, May 7th.

Escorted by the Ashland Police Dept. and Ashland Paramedics, the group made stops at Ashland Health and Rehab, Main Street Clinic, Court Manor NH, and Chequamegon clinic where baloons and candy were handed to the nurses.

From there everyone gathered at the bandshell and were treated to music by the high school jazz band. Free brats and hot dogs as well as many deserts, (nurse's favorites), were served by the lions club. Mayor Fred Schnook announced a proclamation naming May 7th as Nurse's day and calling for all Ashland citizens to honor nurses year round.
