Bowling for the Blind - A Tournament to Benefit Blindness Projects

Previously several Lions Club members visited the local elementary and middle schools talking to students regarding this event, asking if they were interested in getting people to sponsor them in this tournament.  We had an over whelming response, with 78 students bowling, and 82 turning in their pledge forms the day of the tournament.  It was an exciting and rewarding day for participants and Lions members alike.  One parent said, "This gives my daughter a chance to give back and to do something good for other people."  A party was hosted by the Lions Club complete with trophies, prizes, gift cards and food.  This of course was after an afternoon at Splashland at Ashland's AmericInn.
